Theme: “Computational Intelligence-Driven Decision Making: Theory, Application and Challenges”

Aim and Objective of the Symposium:

The Symposium provides a unique opportunity for students to present their research, broadening their expertise and preparing them for careers in science and different engineering fields. It also provides an excellent platform for students to network and makes professional contacts. This symposium can be a better place for current graduate students to present their research/project work as well as to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among the student population and introduce the new first-years to the wide variety of research domains.

ICDCIT 2023 invites undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students to submit their research work in the 13th Student Research Symposium on “Computational Intelligence-Driven Decision Making: Theory, Application and Challenges”. The symposium will be held from 18th-22nd January 2023, where student authors of accepted papers (passed through a review process) will be invited to showcase their research work.

The main aim of this student symposium is to encourage them to share their research findings on the various aspects of designing novel, innovative and adaptive models to forecast, classify and recognize the trends of data using various machine learning algorithms and /or bio-inspired optimization algorithm. Machine learning algorithms are emerging techniques to apply almost all the domains of Engineering and science whereas bio-inspired algorithms are based on the principles and inspiration of the biological evolution of nature to develop new and robust competing techniques. The emphasis of this special session is to focus on various applications of machine learning techniques and/or bio-inspired optimization learning algorithms to be explored in different areas of finance, disease diagnosis, drug discovery, pattern recognition, text classification, speech recognition and image analysis to promote the bridging from fundamental research on data analytic and machine intelligence with bio-inspired learning algorithms to design robust models that lead to industry solutions, business intelligence and decision making.

All topics relevant to the 13th Student Research Symposium on Computational Intelligence-Driven Decision Making: Theory, Application and Challenges, and listed in ICDCIT 2023 CFP (icdcit.ac.in), are of interest to this Symposium. The Symposium will provide an opportunity for students to discuss and explore their research interests and career objectives with their peers and with a panel of established researchers in computational intelligence.

Topics of Interest:

Students Symposium solicits original papers in any area of Computer Science and Engineering not limited to the topics listed below:

  • Student Authors will submit papers through the easy chair link only.
  • The papers will be reviewed by the members of the review committee and preliminary acceptance intimation will be sent to authors.
  • The selected papers will be reviewed by the technical team (reviewers) of the book editor and accordingly, authors will be notified for publication.
  • The authors will do the necessary registration for the symposium and will present their respective papers during 13th SRS 2023 (in conjunction with 19th ICDCIT–2023).

Submission Guidelines

Intended participants must submit their research papers with the student as the first authors and co-authored by supervisor(s) and co-researchers if any. The paper should be a concise description of the problem statement, scientific and technical approach, and the results obtained so far (unpublished research results (not submitted elsewhere)). Sufficient information should be provided for the chairs and the review board members to judge the merit of the research.

The submissions should be in word format. The write-up should be presented in Springer edited book format with a page limit of a minimum of 12 pages and a maximum of 20 pages and the papers should be submitted electronically through Easy-chair. Based on the jury’s recommendation the symposium will present the best paper award.
