About the subject:
Human societies experience a constant process of creation and collision of ideas that provide impulses towards creative disputes and transformations. Contemporary history has witnessed political transformations and coalitions of a range previously unseen. Processes rooted in ideas of international cooperation and unification resulted in foundations of several supranational organizations. In the globalized world, Ulrich Beck’s argument about a rise of a new economy of international politics – centered around transnational and cosmopolitan objectives – is proving more and more accurate. However, in times of an evident rise in nationalist and isolationist tendencies in many places of the world, do the contemporary concepts of unification still have a future?
