Nova Science will publish a hardcover book titled “Recent Advances in Welding”

THE PUBLICATION OF YOUR CHAPTERS IS FREE OF CHARGE.

It is expected that contents are high-quality works, originals (not previously published) and in line with the most recent scientific developments made in the welding field. Each chapter should contain a literature review, the methodology used to carry out the work, the results, corresponding discussion and conclusions, highlighting the main contributions for the scientific community. Each chapter should present significant grade of novelty to be considered. The chapters will be subjected to double or triple peer-review, ensuring the best quality of the contents. The EasyChair platform will be used to manage the submissions and peer-review processes. For submission of your chapter, registration on the EasyChair platform is required. The project name is as follows: RAW2020.

If you do not feel motivated to write a scientific chapter, but would like to collaborate in the creation of a didactic book on welding, we thank you for expressing this will, because a didactic book on welding will also be published soon – in this case, please ask us for more information.

The scheduling of dates to consider for collaboration in this book is as follows:

Asking for contributions: May/2019.

Collecting abstracts: 30th of June/2019.

Abstracts acceptance information: 6th of July/2019.

Full-Chapters submission: 15th of January/2020.

Full-Chapters reviewing process: until 15th of February/2020.

Revised Full-Chapters submission: 28th of February/2020.

Final formatting process and Proofs’ check: 30th of March/2020.

Book chapters will be related to the topics described below, but not strictly confined to these issues:

  • Recent advances in electrical arc welding (Covered Electrode, MIG-MAG, FCAW, TIG, PAW, SAW);
  • Recent advances in resistance welding;
  • Recent advances in solid state welding (Friction, Friction Stir Welding, Explosion welding);
  • Recent advances in Laser and Electron-Beam welding;
  • Recent advances in Brazing and Soldering;
  • Simulation in welding;
  • Destructive and Non-Destructive techniques in welding;
  • Robotics in welding.
